Callan Mitchell is a Texas raised, Queens based playwright, director, and choreographer. Callan has studied theater at Shakespeare’s Globe, The Institute of Arts Barcelona, and received her degree in directing and theater and social justice from Pace University. She focuses on community oriented artistic endeavors, partnering with multiple non profits throughout her productions. 

Callan’s detail oriented story telling allows her to bring in elements of magical realism, and absurdism while still feeling grounded and human. She is excited by pop punk soundtracks, neon signs, and movement based theater. 

Callan has received recognition for her work through the Pace University Leadership Award in Directing and was designated a 2026 semi finalist for the Cherry Lane Playwrights Collective.
